My first love is faces where I am constantly amazed by how the person in front of my the chair gradually starts appearing on the empty canvas. Even though I'm controlling it and emmersed in it, I still feel I'm not quite there, not paying quite enough attention. I involve the sitter in the process because once they have recognised their face they are more confident to make judgements, which I encourage. It is a two way process.
My second love is dogs and I have done a series of dogs running which have been accepted to be on display at the Bute Space Gallery & Studios, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff. What more fitting place for this series of running dogs in this bay side area. I hope you manage to see them and enjoy them.
